I'm Back!!!

I have been wanting to get back into the blogging thing.  I want to document this journey as we prepare to bring our new member into the world---so I figured what better time than now to start it back up? Tomorrow is New Year's Eve and we are getting ready to ring it yet another year!

I cannot even begin to describe how absolutely wonderful this year has been.  We have been OH so blessed! We were married on June 11 in Destin, FL.  It was the most perfect day I could have ever imagined.  I have watched (and rewatched) our video several times already...hehe...It was just that amazing.  I wish I could relive the day--of course with Luke :)

After we came home from the wedding-- we decided we wanted to MOVE! and it happened SO fast! We got home the end of June- our home was sold and we were moved in our new home the beginning of August.  We are so thankful everything worked out with my father-in-law and brother-in-law purchasing our old home so we could move.  Again, WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!!!!!!

A (VERY) few short months later......we found out we are EXPECTING! We were a little shocked it happened so fast but so thankful for this sweet blessing. The past few months we have been anxiously waiting to find out the gender--I could not wait any longer so Luke & I made an appointment at a local ultrasound place. This Saturday we found out....IT'S A BOY!!!!!!  Our little bundle of joy is due to arrive around June 14, 2013.  We are SO excited!

So, there you have it...MARRIED, A NEW HOUSE, AND A BABY! WOW--that's alot of stuff in 1 short year :)

Here's to a great 2013- we are so excited for the journey ahead! I'm sure we will have lots of happiness, and sleepless nights (ha!)..but we couldn't be more excited!!!

HAPPY 2013!!!

Saturday morning my mom, Kelsey, Mary, Kalie, and I headed to David's Bridal to find 'the dress'! It was a success!! It was such a smooth process...In 2.5 hours I found my dress and bridesmaids dresses and we were leaving! What I ended up getting is definitely not what I had envisioned...it makes such a difference when you get there and start trying things on! I am SO excited for the wedding. Everything is coming together!

mary looking gorgeous in the dress we picked out. It's going to be a guava color..but I'm in love with it!

Saturday night we headed out to dinner with friends! We had a great time! I always hate leaving home. I love my new home here...but I miss my family and friends so much! It was so nice to be able to spend so much time with all of them this weekend!

1 Year

It's hard to believe that Luke and I officially met in person 1 year ago. Time flies! It seems like yesterday I was building up the confidence to actually meet this perfect guy I had spent hours talking to on the phone but had yet to meet in person. I'm so glad that we both put all of our fears behind and did it.....

If you would have told me a year ago that we would be planning our wedding right now. I would have laughed at you....alot! But here we are...1 year later...planning our perfect wedding! I am SO EXCITED!

We enjoyed a nice dinner out together last night. I love him!

I came home to these beautiful flowers on Friday! :)

This last year has been nothing short of amazing. I have found that guy they always tell you to look for. Luke is it. He's funny, smart, amazing, and perfect for me! Luke..thank you for the best year yet! I LOVE you!

Lazy Weekend

We have had a great, lazy weekend!! I can't tell you the last time we have had absolutely nothing to do on a weekend! It was so nice! We haven't really done much of anything. Friday we went to dinner with the Flusche families...it was good to see everyone! The rest of the weekend was spent cleaning, grocery shopping, and doing a few projects around the house.

Luke is in the process of building some shelves AKA storage for the garage. I didn't get any pictures of that. I decided I wanted to spruce up my makeshift printer table. We purchased a new printer this week and didn't have anywhere to set it. Luke had an old, ugly end table sitting in the garage. We decided to use this for the time being. I got to thinking I could really do a lot with this thing....

This project cost me ZERO dollars. I have everything I needed at the house.
You will need:
  • Any type of wooden table.
  • Spray Paint
  • Tissue paper of choice (scrapbook paper would work too, just harder to manuever)
  • Mod Podge
  • Brush
I forgot to take any pictures of the table before I spray painted it. Here is what it look liked post spray paint. I only spray painted the bottom since the top is where the tissue paper is going to go. I also sanded the top of the table, just to make it easier to adhere.

this is what it looks like after you apply the mod podge.
finished table!
i love it! i wish I could leave it in the living room...i just don't have anywhere to put it.
this pretty much sums up our weekend :)

happy week everyone!

New Years Resolutions

New Years Resolutions....I know a lot of people think they are crazy. We all set goals for ourselves that after a few months are history. I'm hoping this year will be different for me. I wanted to write a blog so I am able to look back a year from now and see if I accomplished them or not.
1. Lose Weight. It is time! I have so many reasons to lose weight....but the MOST important one is for MYSELF! I'm ready to feel good about the person I am on the outside as well. I work in a profession that I constantly see the consequences unhealthy lifestyles have on our bodies. I am young without any damage done yet, it's time I make a change! It won't be easy....but I'm ready to do it!
2. Find a Church. Growing up my family went to church every Sunday. I loved that. Not only for the word of Jesus, but also for the time spent as a family. I want this for my future family. I also think it's a wonderful place to meet people! Once you are out of college, it is SO hard to meet people. I want to find a group of friends here in Tulsa. I'm hoping that finding a church will allow me to do that as well as further my relationship with Christ.
3. Love my Enemies. I know..it seems crazy. It is something I know we all struggle with. I really want to work on it though.

Three is all I have. They are big...and will take a lot of confidence, time, motivation, and patience to accomplish........

I think I'm ready :)

Baby Time!

One of my best friends, Leanna had her second baby girl last Tuesday. Luke & I went and saw her and the rest of the gang yesterday. It was SO good to see Leanna. It is so hard when we live so far apart..but we talk multiple times a day which makes it a little bit easier! I am so excited, they are moving to Branson in February...3 hours is better than 4 1/2 :)

Addison looks so much like Peyton did when she was a baby....so I had to post one! This is in August of 2009. I can't believe she is going to be 3! TIME FLIES!

Little Miss Addison is SO tiny! Leanna kept telling me how little she was, but pictures just don't do justice! She looks like a little baby doll! She is the most precious thing EVER!

little miss Addison, 5 days old!

I am so thankful for my friendship with Leanna. Like I said above, we hardly get to see each other anymore, but we are still best friends. I can't wait until you live in Branson!!! Thanks for your friendship :)
Fall 2008...girls night at the melting pot!
Christmas Party 2008

If these pictures aren't motivation to lose weight....not sure what is! Let's do this!!!! :)
